Messages with the Facio & Associates address in the body of the message have been showing up in my inbox for months. Not only is there one for pharmaceuticals, but also for credit checks like the one above, electric bills, "instant" loans deposited directly to your account, 6-pack abs, and about 6 or 8 other baits.
I usually look at my messages online before I download, so the "white print" stuff is clearly visible, and present in nearly all the messages. The messages tend to arrive in groups, with sender addresses where the domain name is the same for the group. Then the next group of messages, with the same content, arrives and it has a different domain name. Some of the messages include business names & addresses for other parts of the country as well as the Facio & Ass. in Washington DC.
Nowadays, I just go through my online inbox and check all the familiar fraud items and click on the delete button. After that, I can download the real email to my regular mail system.

I'd bet the Penny Stock market has always done that, and always will. Unless you could go back to a time when a nickel was actually a significant investment. 1903 perhaps.

In any case, it carries that aroma of "Hey, this investment is guaranteed to shoot up in value!" which is a sure sign of a shady investment that's going to tank any second and lose you money.

I wish I had a "Typhoid Mary" computer here so I could just go ahead and click on all these ads to see what happens; I'd be willing to bet it doesn't even take you to an actual investment opportunity, but tries to get you to sign up for something that's going to end up on your cell phone bill.

Looks like the Hamilton Southeastern Schools' email server automatically tacks on one of those "for your eyes only" type of disclaimers on every message, which is a good thing, since it makes the scam attempt all the more obvious.
